Funding
The Department of Transportation formally partnered with the National Park Service with the establishment of the Park Roads and Parkways (PRP) Program. This program includes approximately 9,550 miles of park roads and parkways, bridges, and tunnels which include the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The Marin Headlands improvement projects were funded thanks to the PRP program. For more information, visit the Federal Lands Highway website.
