West Bunker Road: Improvements included extending the right turn lane on West Bunker Road that accesses East Bunker Road, which leads into Fort Baker. A sidewalk was also added on the north side of the road that will eventually be tied to additional improvements for pedestrians. TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Beginning March 31, expect up to 15 minute delays on Bunker Road at Capehart Housing for the installation of speed cushions. The planned relocation of the fire station within Fort Cronkhite requires that the existing speed tables be replaced with smaller speed cushions that allow passage of large emergency vehicles, such as ambulances and fire trucks, without slowing down. The speed cushions will still require cars and trucks to slow down to cross-over. Latest news... |
